About

The Vetkind group consists of  Arana Hills Veterinary Clinic, Fernlands Veterinary Practice and Everton Hills Veterinary Clinic.
It is a local business owned by Dr Helen Byrnes, located in the north-west suburbs of Brisbane.

Our staff include 5 general practice veterinarians who maintain a close working relationship with board-certified specialists.  As well as seven qualified veterinary nurses who tend to your pet’s needs every step of the way during their visits to our clinics.

All pet owners should expect the highest quality of care as well as great service. Our goal is to have a group of veterinary clinics that exceed the needs of you and your pet.
The Vetkind group focuses on lifetime veterinary care for your pet from when it is a puppy or kitten through to old age.  This includes medical, surgical,  dental and palliative care together with behavioural advice and treatment. To enable us to provide these services, Arana Hills clinic has in-house pathology, digital x-ray, ultrasound and laser facilities, and we also have in-house pathology at Everton Hills.  We offer dental procedures and routine surgery such as desexing at all of our clinics. While the more complicated cases; surgical and medical, will be managed at our Arana Hills clinic.

We also have our very own puppy preschool classes undertaken regularly at our Arana Hills clinic. As well as grooming services to pamper your pet at Arana Hills Veterinary Clinic and Fernlands Veterinary Practice.

As the end of life draws near, we aim to help you and your pet in those difficult times when there isn’t a cure and your pets’ condition will progress over time.  We offer palliative care  where we focus on treating symptoms and alleviating pain and discomfort to maintain quality of life. We can provide home visits by prior arrangement when needed.

The Vetkind group also services the following areas and their community’s pets: Gaythorne, Brookside Centre, Mitchelton, Everton Park, McDowell, Keperra, Ferny Grove, Ferny Hills, Bunya, Samford and Clear Mountain.
